Arrow Tributary 0056 Basin Plan and NE 181st Street Culvert Replacement Project

The City of Kenmore has completed its updated field assessment of Stream 0056 erosion and sediment sources within the North Lake Washington Drainage Basin and its analysis for the NE 181st Street culvert replacement project at 61st Ave NE.

Arrow Tributary 0057 Sediment Study

The purpose of the Tributary 0057 Sediment Study is to investigate the sediment problems in the drainage basin, develop capital improvement project alternatives to properly manage the sediment load, and recommend a preferred alternative for implementation.

Arrow Arrowhead Drive Study

Residents in the Arrowhead neighborhood expressed concern about speeding vehicles and pedestrian safety on NE Arrowhead Drive. The City and its consultant, HW Lochner, have completed data collection and analysis.

Arrow Regional Mitigation Plan

The City of Kenmore, in cooperation with the Emergency Services Coordinating Agency and thirteen partner agencies, is in the process of updating the Regional Mitigation Plan. The plan is part of the overall emergency management strategy and provides the framework for natural hazards mitigation projects. The current Plan was adopted in 2004. The City invited the public to provide feedback on the updated mitigation plan at an open house in September 2009.

Arrow Rhododendron Park Improvements
Phase One Improvements in Rhododendron Park that have been completed include a new widened vehicular access to the park, improved and expanded parking, new play areas with additional play equipment, a new picnic shelter, pedestrian access trails and walkways, additional site furnishings, landscaping, and a new automatic irrigation system. L.W. Sundstrom was the general contractors for phase one improvements.

Rhododendron Park has been one of the quality park and recreation facilities within the City for years, and the new improvements will significantly enhance the overall park use.

Arrow Northshore PRSA Aquatic Study

The Northshore PRSA Aquatic Study was designed to evaluate aquatics needs and to determine if grassroots support exists to carry a proposal for developing a new aquatics program forward and through to fruition. The study includes an evaluation of the current aquatic resources and demands, and projects future needs. This analysis includes identifying the best and most appropriate sites, program scope and costs to build and operate the facility.
