Regional Mitigation Plan
The City of Kenmore, in cooperation with the Emergency Services Coordinating Agency and thirteen partner agencies, is in the process of updating the Regional Mitigation Plan. The plan is part of the overall emergency management strategy and provides the framework for natural hazards mitigation projects. The current Plan was adopted in 2004. The City invited the public to provide feedback on the updated mitigation plan at an open house in September 2009.
Asphalt Overlay Program
The City of Kenmore's asphalt overlay program is an annual street maintenance activity designed to prolong the life of the City streets. By adding a 1.75" layer of asphalt on top of the existing pavement we are able to prevent roadway failures that may require costly street reconstruction. Streets are identified for overlay using a pavement management program which rates street segments based on asphalt condition, traffic volume and location.

Northshore PRSA Aquatic Study
The Northshore PRSA Aquatic Study was designed to evaluate aquatics needs and to determine if grassroots support exists to carry a proposal for developing a new aquatics program forward and through to fruition. The study includes an evaluation of the current aquatic resources and demands, and projects future needs. This analysis includes identifying the best and most appropriate sites, program scope and costs to build and operate the facility.
